"she never let reality get in the way of a good yarn"
Academic Yarns provides a vibrant, supportive and safe space for women in higher education leadership positions to tend to their projects, leadership practices, values and creativity.
During AY sessions, we will share who we intend to be as leaders, how we intend to show up for ourselves and others, and how our values align with those intentions.
The Academic Yarns Workbook will help you focus on your leadership goals and practices between sessions to help you feel gentle shifts in your approaches to planning and productivity.
CREATING: AY is designed to nurture what's on your mind while giving you space to foster your creativity through your handwork (e.g., knitting, crocheting, embroidery). Not crafty? Not to worry, remember we don't judge!
Academic Yarns will kick-off with an Orientation to meet each other and ground the group in our shared practices.
Six Group Sessions
Here, we'll use your personal values to help you achieve alignment between your actions and your goals. We'll also work to tailor your habits to increase your productivity and share your values with others.
Two Individual Sessions
Two private coaching sessions are included in this group coaching package to give you the opportunity to take a deeper dive into anything that our AY sessions piqued or anything that's on your mind! These can occur at anytime during the program and will be scheduled separately, at your convenience.
Workbook, Templates, Tools, & Session Notes
The Academic Yarns Workbook provides prompts for contemplation and pondering and is specially designed to envision yourself tending, intending and striving! And of course, any templates, tools, or resources mentioned during sessions will be recorded and/or linked in our session notes.
